Please see Fish (Sortable Table) for a sortable list of fish by season, location, and price.

Fishing in Pumpkin Days require the use of a Fishing Rod. Upon completion of the Fishing tutorial, you will be given a Wooden Fishing Rod. You can also purchase other fishing rods from the Blacksmith in town or craft it yourself with an Anvil. There are several locations you can fish at in the game. By standing on any jetty in a body of water will allow you to cast the line and catch fish.

How To Fish[]

Fishing.gif

When a fish is on the hook, you will have to reel it in with a Fishing minigame. There will be a bar with a green bit in the middle. The size of the green bit will depend on the difficulty and rarity of the fish. You have to keep the yellow arrow on the green bar. When you left click on the screen during the Fishing minigame, the yellow arrow will move up the bar a little bit. This allows you to keep the yellow arrow on the bar by timing your clicks correctly, as the yellow arrow will drop slowly. Whenever your yellow arrow is hovering over the green bit, a blue timer below your Fishing bar will pop up and time down slowly. When you have successfully kept the yellow arrow in the green bit for the allocated amount of time determined by rarity and difficulty of the fish, you will then pull up a fish.

If the yellow arrow has shifted out of the green and into the red for a certain amount of time, the line breaks and the fish gets away. Fishes that are rarer will have smaller green bits, and easily caught fishes have bigger green bits. The quality of your fishing rod also plays a part in your performance of the minigame. A better tool will allow you to reel it in faster, thereby shortening the time that you are required to keep the yellow arrow in the green. The best rod in the game is the Meteorite Fishing Rod, the durability never goes down and it allows you to skip the Fishing minigame as it auto-catches all fishes on the hook for you.
